The CLAYTON continues a HOKA ONE ONE tradition of revolutionizing lightweight cushioning, featuring PRO2LITE technology with a softer heel for cushioning and a firmer forefoot for propulsion. The Oversize Active Foot Frame provides surprising support, while the early stage Meta-Rocker ensures a smooth and nimble ride. The RMAT® outsole layer eliminates the excess weight of traditional rubber and finishes off the ride with a responsive edge.

Love the lightness of these but hate that I just got these in August and already need a new pair, when my feet and knees start hurting it's time for new pair, bottoms have worn out bad on the heel. I know I'm a heel stricker but all HOKA's seem to wear out fast on the bottoms.

Love the shoes!! But if you have a chubby big toe, these shoes will rub and blister your big toes until the day you throw them out. Trained all summer for the Chicago Marathon in a pair, always wearing band aids to ward of the blisters. Marathon day..forgot the band aids and sure enough arch blister at mile 10 and toe blister at 13. So after putting over 200 miles on this pair, they still caused blisters. The arch appears to be too far forward in the shoe. I even went up a size which helped but did not alleviate the blistering.

My first pair of Hokas. I bought them at the Boston Marathon expo. They felt and do feel great walking around in them. Having said that, EVERY TIME I run in them, I get blisters on my inner arch of both feet. I switched socks. Nope. Bandaids to protect, paper tape to protect, and I still get blisters there. Super frustrating, there has to be something inside them, as I have never had a blister in this location before, and I own a heck of a lot of shoes.
I do like the thin back heel cup on them, it doesn't bother my achilles.
I wear these to work at a hospital. They are nicely cushioned.

          Comments about CLAYTON:

I wear the Clifton for just about everything but wanted to try the Clayton for a slightly more lightweight shoe. Its actually not that much lighter, and after the first few miles gave me blisters in both arches. I tried everything. Thicker sock. Different insoles (this made a little bit of a difference except the blisters just came later). This could have been a great shoe but I'll stick to my Cliftons. They never fail. Hopefully they will change the upper for the Clayton next round.

I have ran 16 miles in these so far, was loving them after running a 5 miler this weekend 4 minutes faster then my normal time. I am starting to get a bruised toe and a little blister after yesterdays 5 miles. I ordered 9.5 I usually wear 9.5 in other running shoes. Wondering if I need to go up to a 10. Any suggestions will help. As far as the comfort and lightness of the shoe can't beat it. Hope it's just where they are new.
